Kirkor Sahakoglu was born in Istanbul and studied Graphic Design at the State University for Applied Fine Arts after graduating from Getronagan Armenian High School. Then enrolled at the master’s programme at Istituto Europeo Di Disegno in Milan and also attended workshops at Domus Academy at the same time.

In 1985 he started at the position of art director working for some of the prestigious advertising agencies in Turkey and then became a creative director.

In 1995 he started his own agency “Studio Advertising”. He worked with local and international companies advising them with their branding and products. He is a teacher at Graphic Design Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University since 2002 and also a freelance consultant to various agencies and companies since 2010.

He curated the exhibition: “BEARING WITNESS TO THE LOST HISTORY OF AN ARMENIAN FAMILY THROUGH THE LENS OF THE DILDILIAN BROTHERS (1872-1923)” at Depo Istanbul in 2013.

• He opened his first individual exhibition “EKSIK (ABSENT)” at Depo Istanbul in 2015.


• He participated at the mixed exhibition named “AYAKLANMA (Riot)” at Galeri Bu in 2016.


• He presented a solo exhibiton named “UTOPIA” at the historical Galata Greek High School in 2017.


• He also took part at the mixed exhibiton named “A4”, a collaboration of Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty teaching staff, at the Republic Museum in Sultanahmet in 2017.


• He collaborated on the “BLUE HOTEL- EVERY ROOM IS LONELY” exhibition assembled exclusively for Contemporary Istanbul between 20-23rd of September in 2018.


• He contributed to the travelling mixed exhibition patroned by Educational and Cultural Union of Imvros which opened on - 15th of September 2018 at the Cultural Hall of Municipality of Athens, - 1st of October 2018 at the Gallery of Thessaloniki Society for Macedonian Studies, - 5th of November 2018 at the Izmir Chamber of Commerce Exhibition Hall, - January 2019 at Tepeköy Gökçeada (Imvros).


• He participated at the mixed exhibition named “DESIGN OF ART, ART OF DESIGN” which is organized by Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty at the Republic Museum in Sultanahmet in 2018.


• He opened a solo exhibition named “PASSION” at Milli Reasurans Art Gallery on 11th of April in 2019.


• He collaborated on the interdisciplinary exhibition titled “Shhh.!: SILENCE” at the Bilgi University Santral Campus on 9th of May in 2019.


• He participated at the CONTEMPORARY ISTANBUL with “Gallery 77” between 12-15th of September in 2019.


• He collaborated on the exhibition named “REMEMBER ME / HATIRLA BENİ” on 16th of July in 2020.


• He collaborated on the exhibition named “AK-SAYANLAR” at Gallery X-ist on 11th of March in 2021.


• He opened the solo exhibition “TIMELESS” at Gallery 77 on 25 th of May 2021.


• He opened the solo exhibition “MIRROR” at Imoga Art Space on 25 th of September 2021.


• He opened the solo exhibition “OPPOSITE” at Siyah Beyaz Art Gallery on 25 th of September 2021.


• He opened the solo exhibition “PAPERWORKS” at Gallery 77 on 10th of March.
